Internships/Field Experience courses are integral components of the many majors in the department.
Criminal Justice majors are given the opportunity for placement or internships in city and county law enforcement agencies, federal and state correctional institutions, probation and parole programs, the district attorney's office, and in detention, shelter care and treatment centers. Recent internship sites have included:
Political Science has internships with state legislators and state senators through the Edgewood College Legislative Internship Program (ECLIP). It is also possible to attempt to arrange internships with Wisconsin's U.S. Representatives, U.S. Senators, state and local agencies, local political campaign organizations, and interest groups.
