Biography

Annie Jay, J.D. earned a law degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School and a B.A. in Political Science and German from the University of Delaware. 

She is currently an Assistant Attorney General for the Wisconsin Department of Justice where she assists in the prosecution of complex felony cases across the state. She has ample experience handling cases involving major crimes such as homicide, sexual assault, child photography, and white-collar offenses. As an Assistant Attorney General she further is responsible for researching applicable law and drafting motions, briefs, and plea deals, as well as reviewing cases for the prosecution, drafting complaints, and training local law enforcement and prosecutors statewide. 

In years past, Jay has held positions as an Assistant District Attorney in Kenosha County, WI and Assistant District Attorney in Marinette County, WI. 

Jay teaches several courses at Edgewood College, including Introduction to Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Ethics in Action.
