The Challenges of Poor Countries

This Spring 2019 course is an introduction to the field of economic development. The problems faced by poor nations including inequality and corruption will be analyzed and discussed through case studies and cross-country comparisons. Additional topics include the role that rich nations play in promoting or stunting poor countries’ economic growth.
