Women & Society
This course is an assessment of women’s position in American society. It considers the history of women’s roles and experiences in American society, examining how American women’s experiences compare with their own past, to men, and to women of other nations. Emphasis is on the importance of gender ideology and its impact on women’s identity, relationships, outcomes and participation in major institutions.
